How Important is Receiving a Heart to You?

So I've been thinking long and hard about this question! I can tell you that one of the reasons I wanted to start my own swap group is because I think the quality of a small swap by a trusted group of swappers will yield greater Joy and Satisfaction than just a random group of people like you see a lot of the time on Swap-bot! I realize that I do get excited when I receive a 5 plus a heart, but maybe it's just not satisfying enough for me! I think we can come up with a better way of praising eachother! I'd love to hear some feedback on this little diddy! Tell me what's on your mind!
P.S. I do have to say that if it weren't for Swap~Bot I wouldn't have been able to pluck my favorite gals out of the bunch to join forces! I'm not putting it down ~ I just get frustrated sometimes!

Yes, I get frustrated with swap-bot! I admit, I like the get as well as the give. I do like to get the 5s and hearts..hey, I teach high school, I need all the praise I can get some days. I have seen pics of many of the items you all like, have swapped or created and I am so impressed. I am looking forward to getting this game moving!

I have done the sweet goodness swaps and love the variety and thought that goes into those swaps. I am sure this will be just as great or better!!

Thanks Debbi! I think it's great you teach! So many of my close friends I grew up with are teachers too! I would like to have all of us show our appreciation for eachother ~ whatever that may be? I know it always makes me feel good when I get a heart : ), but sometimes it feels so distant too. Like when someone rates you but they don't leave a note? It's weird. I guess it's impersonal...ya know what I mean?

I think being here is praise enough, it shows we are all serious about swapping and paying attention to who the other person is, and what they like (instead of just tossing a bunch of stuff in a box). Personally the part of swapping I like best is ferreting around in someone's blog and putting together a 'perfect package' based on what I find there. As for hearts, I go for them everytime :-)

Must admit, the ratings and hearts aren't something I fuss about on swap-bot. I just like to send a swap that I'm happy with, and like shan I enjoy "stalking" my partner to find out what they'd like to get.

Swap-bot regularly annoys the pants off me, and sometimes people are just so ungrateful, mean and petty it just makes me wanna cry!

Anyway, I look forward to good fun swapping here and lots of Flickr pics of yummy stuff!
